Simon Juan went 2-for-4 with a homer and four RBI off the bench against the Nationals on Sunday.
The 19-year-old Juan has yet to make it past Rookie ball, but he has managed to go 5-for-9 with six RBI in four Grapefruit League affairs the last two years. A disappointment initially after landing a big bonus out of the Dominican Republic in 2022, he showed improvement in hitting .273/.337/.459 in 202 plate appearances for the FCL Mets last season. He’ll presumably move up to full-season ball this year.
