Indians designated LHP T.J. House for assignment.
The move clears a spot for Adam Plutko on the 40-man roster. House had some momentum after a promising debut with the Indians in 2014, but he dealt with shoulder problems last year and struggled in Triple-A this year. He’s still just 26 years old, so someone could take a chance on him.

Indians sent LHP T.J. House outright to Triple-A Columbus.
House was designated for assignment by the Tribe on September 20 and passed through waivers unclaimed. The left-hander spent the majority of the 2016 season in Triple-A, posting a 3.98 ERA in 12 starts and 21 relief appearances.

Darren Wolfson of 1500ESPN hears that T.J. House is expected to sign with the Blue Jays.
It would presumably be a minor league contract. House showed a bunch of promise for the Indians in 2014 with a 3.35 ERA over 102 innings, but he’s battled some shoulder issues since then. Still, he’s only 27 and is worth a gamble by the Blue Jays.
