House is now protected from the Rule 5 Draft. The southpaw put up a 3.56 ERA while striking out 116 over 149 1/3 innings between High- and Double-A in 2012.

House was serving as a starter at the Triple-A level but is expected to pitch out of the bullpen in Cleveland. The 23-year-old left-hander will carry no fantasy value.

House was only up in the majors for a handful of days. He should be given another shot later this summer.

House has allowed six hits in 2 2/3 innings (four appearances) this season at the major league level. Jeff Manship was activated off the disabled list in a corresponding 25-man roster move.

Utility infielder Erik Gonzalez will take his spot on the active roster. House allowed one run over 2 2/3 innings during his week-long stay in Cleveland. The 26-year-old began the year in Columbus’ starting rotation but has been used exclusively out of the bullpen since early June.

House, 26, owns a 4.45 ERA and 42/37 K/BB ratio in 60 2/3 innings over 12 starts and seven relief appearances in Triple-A this season. He’ll provide a fresh arm in Cleveland’s bullpen.

The 26-year-old southpaw will provide a fresh arm with the ability to work multiple innings out of the Indians bullpen. He owns a 3.38 ERA, 2.25 WHIP and 2/0 K/BB ratio in 2 2/3 innings with the big league club this season.

The move clears a spot for Adam Plutko on the 40-man roster. House had some momentum after a promising debut with the Indians in 2014, but he dealt with shoulder problems last year and struggled in Triple-A this year. He’s still just 26 years old, so someone could take a chance on him.

House was designated for assignment by the Tribe on September 20 and passed through waivers unclaimed. The left-hander spent the majority of the 2016 season in Triple-A, posting a 3.98 ERA in 12 starts and 21 relief appearances.

It would presumably be a minor league contract. House showed a bunch of promise for the Indians in 2014 with a 3.35 ERA over 102 innings, but he’s battled some shoulder issues since then. Still, he’s only 27 and is worth a gamble by the Blue Jays.
