Mariners signed OF Terry McClure to a minor league contract.
The 26-year-old was an eighth round pick by the Rockies back in 2013. He spent four seasons toiling in their minor leagues, only climbing as high as Class-A Ashville in 2016. McClure then played independent ball in the Frontier League for two seasons before falling off the map following the 2018 season. He spent the 2021 campaign as the hitting coach at Buford High School. It’ll be interesting to see which level he begins the 2022 season at.
