Eugenio Suarez is not in the Reds’ lineup Sunday.
He’s receiving a day off. Adam Duvall is getting a start at third base in Suarez’s place, while Tyler Holt is handling left field. Zack Cozart is sitting out, as well, as Ivan De Jesus Jr. is at shortstop.
  • MLB Third Base Coach #7
Zack Cozart (knee, Achilles) remained out of the Reds’ lineup Sunday.
He hasn’t played since Wednesday due to soreness in his right knee and Achilles. Jose Peraza is again filling in at shortstop and in the No. 2 spot in the lineup. The Reds are also giving Joey Votto and Scott Schebler a breather Sunday, as Ivan DeJesus Jr. is at first base and Tyler Holt is in right field.

Zack Cozart is not in the Reds’ lineup Sunday.
He’s receiving a day of rest. Billy Hamilton is also sitting out, as the Reds have Ivan De Jesus Jr. and Tyler Holt in center field.
  • FA Center Fielder #0
Billy Hamilton (knee) is not in Tuesday’s lineup against the Marlins.
Hamilton left Monday’s game shortly after he got banged up by crashing into the outfield wall while attempting to make a catch. He’s dealing with a right knee contusion, but also has some other bumps and bruises. It’s probably safe to call him day-to-day for now. Scott Schebler is starting in center field while Tyler Holt will play right.

Billy Hamilton exited Wednesday’s game against the Cubs in the bottom of the first inning after he was hit in the head by a fly ball.
Adam Duvall and Hamilton were both going after a fly ball off the bat of Anthony Rizzo and the ball ultimately hit Hamilton in the head/face and resulted in an inside-the-park homer. Hamilton was on the ground for a couple of minutes before eventually walking off the field through the bullpen. The Reds will surely send him for tests to rule out a concussion. Tyler Holt replaced him in center field.
  • FA Left Fielder #14
Adam Duvall (foot) is out again Thursday.
Duvall hasn’t played since fouling a ball off his foot on Monday night and he was spotted in a walking boot on Tuesday. It’s not clear when he might return. Tyler Holt is in left field and batting eighth on Thursday night against Marlins ace Jose Fernandez.
  • FA Center Fielder #0
Billy Hamilton is out of the Reds’ lineup Thursday.
Hamilton is batting .329/.356/.443 with nine stolen bases over his last 20 games and playing his usual brand of fantastic defense in center field, but he’ll get a night of rest in the Reds’ series finale Thursday against the Cardinals. Tyler Holt is in center field.
  • LAD Outfield #47
Reds sent OF Tyler Holt outright to Triple-A Louisville.
He is now off the Reds’ 40-man roster. Holt, a 27-year-old utility outfielder, batted just .235/.327/.296 across 208 plate appearances this season for Cincinnati.
  • LAD Outfield #47
Tyler Holt (wrist) appeared a defensive replacement in Monday’s blowout win over the Cardinals.
Holt was scratched from Friday’s lineup with a sore left wrist, but he’s apparently making progress. The 27-year-old has hit .235/.327/.296 over 103 games this season.

Billy Hamilton (oblique) remained out of the Reds’ lineup Sunday.
Manager Bryan Price said Monday that Hamilton would have his strained left oblique re-evaluated in 5-7 days, but so far there’s been no word on how much, if any, he has improved. It could still be a while before he’s back in the lineup. Tyler Holt is handling center field Sunday.
