Marlins acquired INF/OF Wilfredo Lara from the Mets for RHP Huascar Brazoban.
Lara got off to a slow start in 2024 for Single-A Brooklyn, but since May 18th, he’s slashing .283/.388/.414 with a 130 wRC+. His best tool is his speed but he could have above-average game power if he continues to grow into it. Where he ends up defensively is another question, but he has some intriguing tools despite being a long way from any potential MLB contribution.
