Brewers signed RHP Yhonathan Barrios to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Just a little bureaucratic move, here. The Brewers had outrighted Barrios to Triple-A Colorado Springs on Monday. The 24-year-old right-hander missed the entirety of the 2016 campaign after undergoing surgery to repair a rotator cuff injury back in early March.

Brewers activated RHP Yhonathan Barrios from the 60-day disabled list; sent him outright to Triple-A Colorado Springs.

Brewers acquired RHP Yhonathan Barrios from the Pirates for 3B Aramis Ramirez and cash considerations.
Berrios, a former infielder, has a 2.68 ERA in 33 relief appearances this season between Double-A Altoona and Triple-A Indianapolis. The 23-year-old hasn’t missed many bats, but he throws hard and makes for an interesting project for Milwaukee.

Brewers purchased the contract of RHP Yonathan Barrios from Double-A Biloxi.
Barrios was just acquired from the Pirates in the Aramis Ramirez deal in July. The 23-year-old compiled a 2.83 ERA and 37/22 K/BB ratio in 60 1/3 innings between Double- and Triple-A this season.

Brewers placed RHP Yonathan Barrios on the 60-day disabled list with a right shoulder injury.
The injury sidelined him for most of the spring. Barrios could miss all or most of the season if he undergoes surgery. The 24-year-old earned a 2.83 ERA in the minors last year before making his Brewers debut in September.

Yonathan Barrios could need surgery to repair a right shoulder injury.
Even if he decides to rehab the shoulder instead, Barrios will begin the season on the disabled list. He will receive a second opinion before making a decision. Barrios was competing for a bullpen spot this spring.

Yonathan Barrios is still waiting on a second opinion on his right shoulder.
Barrios is set to begin the season on the disabled list due to an unspecified shoulder injury. He hasn’t had any improvement and surgery is possible, but he’s expected to get a second opinion from Dr. James Andrews before a decision is made.

Yhonathan Barrios will undergo rotator cuff surgery on Tuesday.
The surgery will be performed by Dr. James Andrews. No word yet on a timeline, but it’s safe to assume he’ll miss all or most of the season. Acquired from the Pirates in the Aramis Ramirez deal, the 24-year-old made five appearances with the Brewers last season after posting a 2.83 ERA in the minors.
