Braves re-signed LHP Yohan Flande to a minor league contract.
The Braves also gave him a spring training invite. Flande, who turns 26 in January, posted a 4.01 ERA and 104/38 K/BB ratio over 137 innings at the Triple-A level this season. The southpaw is unlikely to crack the Opening Day roster.

Rockies activated LHP Jake McGee from the 15-day disabled list.
He missed about three weeks with knee inflammation. Despite an underwhelming 4.98 ERA in 24 appearances this year, McGee should return to the ninth inning with Carlos Estevez sliding into a setup role. The Rockies designated Yohan Flande for assignment to make room for McGee on the active roster.

Flande, who is expected to work out of the bullpen initially, could be insurance in case Jordan Lyles is unable to make his next start. The 29-year-old posted a stellar 1.36 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and 30/4 K/BB ratio over 39 2/3 innings in his six starts at Double-A.

Jordan Lyles left Saturday’s game with a sprained toe on his left foot.
Lyles got roughed up in his four innings of work, allowing seven hits and six runs (five earned). The right-hander hasn’t been much help lately, going 0-3 with a 7.43 ERA over his last five starts. Yohan Flande came in for Lyles to start the fifth inning.
