Yu-Min Lin pitched three scoreless innings and struck out four for Salt River of the AFL on Wednesday.
One of the best pitching prospects present in the AFL, Lin has gone three scoreless in both of his outings thus far. He’s getting in some extra innings this fall after missing a month of a half in the early part of the season due to a fractured jaw he suffered when he was struck by a liner while in the dugout.

Diamondbacks LHP prospect Yu-Min Lin threw three scoreless innings with three strikeouts in AFL action on Wednesday.
Lin needed just 41 pitches to make it through three innings, but much of his success came on called strikes, getting just four whiffs in his three innings. He averaged just 91 mph on his four-seam fastball, and the pitch lacks ideal shape; however, Lin has a true five-pitch mix with a cutter, curve, slider, and changeup mixed in. While the changeup is his best offering, he also showed a strong curve and could grow into a solid back-end of the rotation arm with plus command and a deep pitch mix.
