Willeman

Willeman was acquired from the Dodgers to complete the Danny Duffy trade back in 2021 and has yet to reach the majors. The 27-year-old righty posted a pedestrian 5.85 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 63/38 K/BB ratio across 60 innings (50 appearances) last year between Double-A Northwest Arkansas and Triple-A Omaha. He’ll head to Double-A Pensacola as extra relief depth for Miami.

Willeman has been jettisoned as the player to be named later in a late July trade deadline deal for Duffy, who wound up never making an appearance for the Dodgers due to a left forearm strain. The 25-year-old righty posted a 3.78 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 59/23 K/BB ratio across 47 2/3 innings (33 appearances) at Double-A Tulsa this season.
