Twins re-signed RHP Zaquiel Puentes to a minor league contract.
Puentes caught on with the Twins last June after being released by the Marlins the previous summer. He registered a bizarre-looking 1.25 ERA, 1.89 WHIP and 23/20 K/BB ratio across 21 2/3 innings (14 appearances) at Low-A Fort Myers last season. The 21-year-old righty remains a work in progress in the lower minors.
