DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - There are a wealth of items popping up on what, in theory, should just be a normal test day at the Roar Before the Rolex 24.

This morning’s test session featured two incidents of note among several red flags.

Tommy Milner’s No. 4 Corvette C7.R caught fire in the right rear quarter panel, then was returned to the paddock on a flatbed truck.

Another key entrant - the No. 01 Chip Ganassi Racing Riley-Ford driven by Lance Stroll (photo is 2015 car) - also had an eventful session as Stroll lost control on his out lap, and crashed the front end of the car.

Both drivers were evaluated and released from the infield care center.

Otherwise, there’s more announcements and press conferences to come, and there’s still plenty of drivers pounding the pavement looking for rides.
