In Wednesday’s third stage of the 2017 Dakar Rally, San Miguel de Tucumán to San Salvado de Jujuy, one manufacturer was hit harder than most.

You can see Wednesday’s stage from the Dakar at 6:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, on NBCSN.

Four different Toyota Hilux competitors encountered issues on the stage. Stage one winner Nasser Al-Attiyah (No. 301 Toyota Gazoo Racing SA) and teammate Giniel de Villiers (No. 302), along with Nani Roma (No. 305 Overdrive Toyota) and Erik Van Loon (No. 310 Van Loon Racing) all hit trouble. Al-Attiyah stopped with a technical problem, Roma got restarted after stopping while de Villiers and Van Loon did not. De Villiers lost 45 minutes and fell to 11th.

Dakar legend and defending winner Stephane Peterhansel benefited in his No. 300 Peugeot for his first stage rally win this year. He finished ahead of Peugeot teammates Carlos Sainz and Sebastien Loeb.

Loeb, the stage two winner, now leads overall by 42 seconds over Sainz, and four minutes and 18 seconds over Peterhansel after three days.

On bikes, Joan Barreda took his No. 11 CRF 450 Rally for the Monster Energy Honda Team to a crushing stage three win, his first of this year’s Dakar.

Barreda won by 13 minutes and 29 seconds over Sam Sunderland (No. 14 KTM) and 16 minutes and 30 seconds over Pierre Renet (No. 31 Husqvarna).

The same two lead overall after three stages, with Honda’s Paulo Goncalves (No. 17) in third.

Gaston Gonzalez (No. 281 Yamaha) took the quads win, while Ignacio Casale (No. 251 Yamaha) leads the class overall over Gonzalez.
