Charles Bassey hit 7-of-12 shots for 17 points, nine rebounds and four steals in 26 minutes of Wednesday’s 86-82 Summer League win over the Jazz.
This game had about a quarter of the intrigue the Thunder-Grizzlies game had earlier in the night, but Bassey looked great and had a dunk that should be featured in highlight reels. Trevelin Queen added 15 points, 3-pointer and two steals, Myles Powell had 13 points, four steals and three triples in just 17 minutes, Charlie Brown Jr. added 12 points and two steals in 19 minutes, and Cassius Winston had 11 points on 2-of-10 shooting in a start. Bassey is worth keeping an eye on but this SL lineup doesn’t offer much fantasy intrigue.

Tyler Johnson has entered the health and safety protocols.
Johnson was signed by the 76ers via a hardship exception but now joins several teammates on the sidelines. Myles Powell also entered the protocols on Thursday morning, but there aren’t many fantasy implications here.

The 76ers have signed Myles Powell to a two-way contract.
Powell, who was a four-year standout at Seton Hall before joining the Knicks on a two-way deal last season, makes the trek south to join the 76ers. He’s unlikely to play enough to offer any kind of fantasy value. In a corresponding move, the 76ers waived Grant Riller.

The Knicks have reportedly signed Myles Powell.
They waived Tyler Hall to make room for Powell, but it’s extremely unlikely he’ll make the regular-season roster. Keep scrolling.

The Bucks will sign Myles Powell to a two-way contract.
The former Seton Hall has been playing in the G League with Westchester, putting up 17.8 points, 4.0 assists, 3.3 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 2.8 triples. He’ll provide some emergency depth but is a long shot to make a blip on the fantasy radar.

The Knicks and Seton Hall PG/SG Myles Powell have agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract according to Adam Zagoria.
Powell, one of the top scorers in college basketball, did not hear his name called Wednesday night. But he’ll be staying (relatively) local, as he has agreed to a training camp deal with the Knicks. As a senior he averaged 21.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.9 3-pointers per game for a team that won a share of the Big East regular season title. But his percentages dipped a bit from his junior season, as Powell finished the 2019-20 campaign with splits of 39.8/30.6/79.5.

Myles Powell worked out for three more teams this week and will make a final decision on whether or not to return to Seton Hall for his senior season by May 29th.
This week he worked out for Brooklyn, Charlotte and Sacramento. Powell was a stud for Seton Hall as a junior, averaging 23.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 2.0 steals and 3.1 treys. However, as an undersized combo guard, he will likely have a tough time earning consistent playing time in the NBA. He isn’t projected to be drafted by most pundits.
  • NBA Shooting Guard #5
Seton Hall junior guard Myles Powell announced Thursday that he will enter the 2019 NBA Draft.
This move was expected, as Powell (6'2/195) is coming off of one of the best seasons in Seton Hall program history. The junior guard averaged 23.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 2.0 steals and 3.1 three-pointers per game with shooting splits of 44.7/36.3/84.0. Powell was a unanimous first team All-Big East selection and an honorable mention All-American. While he has the size of a point guard, Powell has spent the majority of his time playing off the ball during his time in South Orange. He isn’t projected to be drafted, but the feedback gained this spring could help him become a better draft prospect with one more season at Seton Hall. What is also worth considering when it comes to the possibility of Powell staying in the draft is the status of Seton Hall coach Kevin Willard, who’s rumored to be a candidate for the Virginia Tech opening.
