Jaguars signed LB Najee Goode, formerly of the Colts.
Goode is a career special teamer but a good one when healthy. He turns 30 in June, so it’s unclear how much he has left in the tank. The Jaguars will find out this summer.
  • FA Linebacker
Bucs selected West Virginia ILB Najee Goode with the No. 140 overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft.
Goode was actually a walk-on at West Virginia, but ended up leading the team in tackles in 2011. At 6'0/244, he’ll try to latch on as a run-stuffer in Tampa. He’s drawn some light comparisons to Redskins tackle machine London Fletcher.
  • FA Linebacker
Buccaneers signed fifth-round LB Najee Goode to a four-year contract.
Goode worked at all three linebacker positions during Bucs rookie minicamp, and could eventually emerge as a starter on the inside at 6-foot, 244. For now, Goode should be eyeing a top backup role while focusing on special teams.
  • FA Linebacker
    Bucs waived LB Najee Goode.
He’ll be a prime candidate for the practice squad after initially making the 53. The Bucs needed to clear room for new receiver Russell Shepard.
  • FA Linebacker
Eagles claimed LB Najee Goode off waivers from the Buccaneers and waived LB Emmanuel Acho.
Goode was the Bucs’ fifth-round pick in 2012. The Eagles apparently believe he’ll be better on special teams than Acho, who was acquired via an offseason trade with the Browns for RB Dion Lewis.
  • FA Linebacker
Eagles re-signed LB Najee Goode to a one-year contract.
Goode is a special teamer who has played 235 career snaps on defense. He turns 28 in June.

The Philadelphia Inquirer leaves ILB Najee Goode off their 53-man roster projection.
The Eagles are stacked at inside linebacker, with three starting caliber players in Mychal Kendricks, DeMeco Ryans and Kiko Alonso. They also used a third-round pick on Jordan Hicks and have a solid reserve in Brad Jones. So although Goode is a valuable piece, he’s on the bubble for now. That will change quickly if Ryans’ rehab from an Achilles’ tear goes slower than expected or Kendricks ends up traded.

The Philadelphia Inquirer’s Jeff McLane reports the Eagles are trying to trade ILB Najee Goode.
With the Eagles stacked at inside linebacker -- DeMeco Ryans, Kiko Alonso, Mychal Kendricks, Brad Jones, and Jordan Hicks -- Goode appears to be the odd man out. The 26-year-old has long drawn praise from coach Chip Kelly for his special teams ability. The Eagles would likely take a conditional draft pick.
  • FA Linebacker
    Eagles signed ILB Najee Goode.
Goode spent the entire offseason with the Eagles before being released at final cuts. He will provide depth at linebacker with Kiko Alonso (knee) and Mychal Kendricks (hamstring) dealing with injuries. OL Julian Vandervelde was released in a corresponding move.
  • FA Linebacker
Eagles released ILB Najee Goode, WR Rasheed Bailey, OL Brett Boyko, OL Malcolm Bunche, CB Randall Evans, TE Andrew Gleichert, WR Jeff Maehl, WR Freddie Martino, DE Brian Mihalik, WR Quron Pratt, S Chris Prosinski, DT Travis Raciti, LB Deontae Sinner, P Kip Smith, TE Eric Tomlinson, OL Julian Vandervelde and LB Diaheem Watkins.
The Eagles were trying to move Goode but predictably failed to find any takers. Goode should find a special teams role somewhere. The Eagles now have 52 players on their active roster.
