Driver/owner Jamie Dick was admitted to a Phoenix-area hospital shortly after Saturday’s Xfinity Series race at Phoenix International Raceway.

He was hospitalized “Saturday night for medical reasons unrelated to racing,” according to a team media release issued Sunday morning, as well as a post on the team’s Twitter account.

Dick is the owner and driver of the No. 55 Viva Auto Group Chevrolet for Viva Motorsports. He had made his second start of the Xfinity season Saturday afternoon. The 26-year-old El Paso, Texas native finished 28th.

After the race, Dick was taken to the PIR infield medical care center where he was examined and released, according to NASCAR Talk’s Dustin Long.
