Acie Law has signed with Olympiacos in Greece.
Law gave some thought to a return to the NBA after reaching a buy out with Partizan Belgrade earlier in January, but he’s locked into a much larger role overseas.

Acie Law has reached an agreement on a buy out of his contract with Partizan Belgrade.
Law was playing overseas but may now be interested in a return stateside. He’ll look to latch onto a roster as a backup point guard.

Former Hawks guard Acie Law has re-signed with Olympiacos in Greece.
There isn’t much of a market for Law in the NBA these days, so he can probably earn as much in Greece while playing a much larger role on a terrific team -- Olympiacos won the Euroleague and Greek A1 league championships last season.

Former Hawks guard Acie Law scored 10 points and handed out two assists on Saturday, helping Olympiakos win the Greek basketball league for the first time in 15 years.
Olympiakos dethroned rival Panathinaikos, which had won each of the past nine seasons -- and best of all it was peaceful, after riots ended last year’s Greek finals. No word yet on whether Law will attempt a return to the NBA.

Acie Law is reportedly drawing interest from the Mavericks.
Law spent the season playing in Greece, and the 2007 No. 11 overall pick is still looking for a way back to the NBA. The report also suggests that Nick Calathes could be on Dallas’ radar as well. The Mavericks hold Calathes’ draft rights.

Former Hawks guard Acie Law has re-signed with Olympiacos in Greece, but he has requested a buyout option due to interest from NBA teams.
Law has been very successful since leaving for the Euroleague in 2011, and his overseas success has reportedly drawn the interest of “two NBA teams,” who may send him an offer sheet in the coming days.

Acie Law is hoping to get a training camp invite later this year.
He didn’t play well at all with Olympiacos last season, averaging just 6.8 points per game in nine contests, so he’s definitely a long shot to even get one of any team’s 20 invites. Law was a dynamic player at Texas A&M back in 2007 with 18.1 points per game, but the 29-year-old guard’s NBA career is probably over.

Point Guard Acie Law may have a promise from the Clippers, who hold the 14th pick in Thursday’s draft.
ESPN’s Chad Ford says that Law may not be around after the Clippers pick and this all makes sense given the uncertainty surrounding the Clippers point guard situation. Sam Cassell is past his prime, Jason Hart is a free agent and Shaun Livingston’s future is in doubt after last year’s devastating knee injury.
  • GSW Center-Forward #20
Al Horford had 10 points, nine rebounds and two blocks on 5-of-8 shooting, while point guard Acie Law added 10 points and a full stat line against Charlotte in the Hawks’ third straight preseason win.
Horford is starting to look like a solid mid-round F/C, who will probably start during the regular season, while Law added six rebounds, six assists and three steals on 5-of-11 shooting.

Rookie point guard Acie Law had 10 points, six boards, six assists and three steals on 5-of-11 shooting for the Hawks on Thursday.
Law has gained the confidence of his teammates and coaching staff and is starting to look like a real possibility as the Hawks’ No. 1 point guard this season. Speedy Claxton is also in the running and we’ll continue to monitor this position battle as the preseason wears on.
