Colton Iverson signed a one-year deal to play in Turkey next season.
He’ll join Besiktas of the Turkish League and the Colorado State product will have to work on his skills as a player. He has the size at 7'0", 263 pounds and playing overseas could help him get some confidence. Kelly Olynyk gets a minimal boost with less competition.

Contrary to a previous report, Colton Iverson has not agreed to a training camp deal with the Celtics according to Jay King of MassLive.
The Celtics drafted him back in 2013, but he hasn’t been able to find his way into the NBA. Unless the Celtics waive his rights, we likely won’t see the 27-year-old center in the NBA next season.

The Celtics have reportedly renounced their rights to Colton Iverson.
Boston drafted him back in 2013, and they now want to give him an opportunity to make a roster elsewhere. He may be able to snag a training camp deal somewhere, but he’s currently firmly off the radar in any format.

Colton Iverson has signed a training camp deal with the Boston Celtics.
He was drafted by Boston in 2013, but he’s never been able to make the 15-man roster. The 27-year-old center spent last season with Pinar Karsiyaka in Turkey and is unlikely to make it past training camp.

Colton Iverson, drafted by Boston in 2013, is expected to join the team next month at the conclusion of his season in Spain.
Iverson will work out with the Celtics in preparation for Summer League, where he’ll try to flash his developed skills and earn a spot on the regular-season roster. The 7'0" center is currently averaging 7.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 0.7 steals and 0.5 blocks in 20.2 minutes per game with Vitoria in the ACB.

Celtics president Danny Ainge said he’s “anxious” to see prospect Colton Iverson play during Summer League, but admitted that it’s “not a certainty” he’ll make the roster next season.
“I could easily go to Vegas and try to impress other teams, but [the Celtics] have already invested a lot in me, so I figure it’s in my best interest to go right out to Boston,” said Iverson, who played in Turkey last season. The Celtics’ roster is in turmoil and they already have guys like Jared Sullinger, Kelly Olynyk and Vitor Faverani on the roster, so Iverson faces a steep climb to earn a guaranteed roster spot.

Celtics prospect Colton Iverson will begin working out in Boston as soon as this week, as he fights to earn a roster spot for 2014-15.
Iverson played for the Turkish team Besiktas last season, averaging 17.5 points, 10.9 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.1 blocks, though he also committed 4.1 turnovers and 5.7 personal fouls in just 21 minutes per game. Those numbers speak eloquently about both his upside and lack of refinement, and his ability to make Boston’s roster may depend upon their moves in the draft and free agency this summer.

The Spanish team Baskonia is reportedly taking legal action against Celtics prospect Colton Iverson for allegedly violating his recent contract extension.
FIBA voided the extension at Iverson’s request, reportedly because he’s still owed about 90,000 euros in back-pay from the near-bankrupt team. Baskonia responded to FIBA’s decision by asking the Spanish court system to award financial damages to the team. Iverson is expected to sign a contract in Turkey this season, and he must be pleased to be leaving this dysfunctional situation in the rearview mirror.

Colton Iverson has signed a deal to play for Pinar Karsiyaka in Turkey.
The Celtics’ roster is loaded at the moment, so it may be a while before he gets a shot in the NBA. Iverson is not on the fantasy radar.
