Atkins

Atkins was the ACC Defensive Player of the Year at Virginia last season, but he isn’t a lock to make the final roster by any means. He averaged 7.6 points, 6.0 boards, 1.1 blocks and 0.8 steals for Virginia last season, but he likely won’t be in the rotation in New York if the Knicks decide to keep him around for the regular season.

Neither player is expected to make the final roster, but the Knicks will be keeping a close eye on both of them when they inevitably join the D-League. Atkins and Saunders can be ignored in fantasy leagues.

Atkins will likely head to the D-League in order to continue to develop his game.
