The Heat have waived DeAndre Liggins and Charles Cooke.
They brought both these guys in a few days ago, but they were expected to end up in the G-League anyways. The Heat will bring in Rodney Purvis and Raphiael Putney on non-guaranteed deals to take their place, but they will join Liggins and Cooke in the G-League soon as well.

The Heat have signed DeAndre Liggins and Charles Cooke.
They waived Malik Newman and Marcus Lee to create two openings. Miami already has 15 guaranteed contracts, so the Heat would have to move some pieces around for Liggins or Cooke to make the final roster.

    Pelicans waive G DeAndre Liggins.
He drew some emergency starts for the Pelicans last year, but Liggins just never was able to get it going offensively. He has a good shot for at least a camp invite.

DeAndre Liggins scored five points on 2-of-4 shooting with two rebounds and one steal in 12 minutes off the bench on Friday.
Liggins was supposed to be shelved for developmental reasons, but that plan was obviously scrapped tonight. He has no fantasy value.

Magic guard DeAndre Liggins will not play until next season for developmental reasons.
Liggins’ personal story about overcoming the murder of his brother is interesting and sad, and if he can continue to erase question marks about his maturity he could have a future in the NBA.

Magic swingman DeAndre Liggins did not dress for Friday’s game because he suffered a reaction to eating shellfish.
Daniel Orton replaced him on the active lineup, but likely the only people who noticed were the Magic employees who write up the active-player rosters.

DeAndre Liggins sat out a part of practice on Wednesday due to a minor foot injury.
The issue isn’t considered to be a serious one, but Liggins shouldn’t be anywhere near a fantasy roster right now.
  • Shooting Guard #18
The Thunder have recalled DeAndre Liggins to join the team against the Hornets on Saturday.
Liggins was with the Thunder a little over a week ago, but he had played just 11 minutes over the course of the whole season. He’ll likely be headed back to the Tulsa 66ers very soon and has no fantasy value.

DeAndre Liggins may have a leg up for the final roster spot with the Thunder.
Beat writer Darnell Mayberry notes that Liggins “looks like the right man for the gig,” and Scott Brooks has praised his defense as well as his effort on a consistent basis. Given that Thabo Sefolosha has dealt with a quad injury, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Liggins stick around if he continues his current course.

DeAndre Liggins will start at shooting guard for the Thunder on Tuesday night.
James Harden (groin) and Thabo Sefolosha (quad) are both out, so Liggins gets a shot to share the floor with the first team. The Kentucky product was signed last month and has no fantasy value.
