Spurs signed F Eric Dawson to a 10-day contract.

Dawson, 27, is a rugged 6'9/250 body that is up thanks to Tiago Splitter’s calf injury. He was averaging 15.9 points, 10.1 rebounds and 1.7 blocks for the Austin Toros of the D-League. Dawson is available for emergency duty in Monday’s game against the Jazz.

The 32-year-old forward spent last season in the Philippines and is basically just a training camp body for the Jazz. He has a total of four NBA games under his belt, all with the Spurs during the 2011-12 season.
