Ronald Murray, who has never started in the NBA, is the leading candidate to replace Ray Allen in the Seattle lineup.
Antonio Daniels is still having back spasms, while coach Nate McMillan doesn’t want to start the impressive Luke Ridnour because he likes what Ridnour has been doing with the second team. Don’t expect Murray’s starting gig to last long.

With Ray Allen’s return coming, the Sonics could be positioning themselves for a trade that includes Ronald Murray.
Richie Frahm has also been a pleasant surprise, but with Allen the team would find itself with four shooting guards, including Brent Barry. The Sonics would be after frontline help, and have been linked to Juwan Howard, Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Al Harrington and Kwame Brown. GM Rick Sund acknowledged Murray could be packaged with less-desirable players in a trade, but declined to say if teams have inquired about Murray or if a deal is in the works.
