The Wizards used the 44th draft pick to select Issuf Sanon, an athletic combo guard who played overseas last season.
It’s unclear whether Sanon can develop into a full-time PG role in the NBA, but he’s a worthy gamble at this stage of the draft. The Wizards may opt to develop him overseas for a year or more, and there’s almost no incentive to draft him in fantasy leagues this season -- even if he does join the team, he’ll be relegated to bench duty.
