Jason Kapono is back in Cleveland’s rotation as a reserve small forward.
Kapono had been seeing semi-regular minutes before the Darius Miles-Jeff McInnis trade last month, but he had been on the bench since the move. He’s still not going to have any fantasy value while playing limited minutes.

The Cavs acquired Jason Kapono as part of the Ramon Sessions trade.
Kapono has appeared in just 51 games over the last two seasons due to ineffectiveness. He’s unlikely to crack Cleveland’s rotation on the wing.
  • LAL Small Forward #37
Metta World Peace had one of his finest games of the season on Sunday, racking up 17 points, two 3-pointers, seven rebounds, three assists, four steals and one block.
MWP has been great in two March games, averaging 16.0 points per game, and Mike Brown is rewarding him with extra playing time (37 on Sunday, 32 on Friday). Both Devin Ebanks and Jason Kapono were DNP-CDs, and World Peace might be worth picking up if his minutes stay north of 30 per game.
  • GSW Shooting Guard #28
    Cavs waive G/F Jason Kapono.
Kapono was included in the Ramon Sessions trade to make the deal work, and was expected to be waived the entire time. He’ll likely sign with a playoff-bound team, providing capable perimeter shooting in a minimal bench role.

The Cavaliers are expected to waive Jason Kapono, who they acquired in the Ramon Sessions trade.
Kapono will become a free agent, but hasn’t done much on the court in the past couple seasons.
  • GSW Shooting Guard #28
Jason Kapono will miss Tuesday’s game due to the birth of his twin girls on Tuesday.
He’ll also be very iffy for Wednesday night in Utah, not that it matters in fantasyland.

According to Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times, Jason Kapono is close to signing with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Kapono would receive a deal for one or two seasons at the veteran’s minimum. He’ll serve as a shooter off the bench, but he’s coming off of a terrible season with the Sixers, and he’ll have to prove that he can still contribute.

Jason Kapono will visit the Lakers on Monday, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.
Kapono played in just 24 regular season games for Philadelphia last season and was an afterthought with the team. He’d be nothing more than a situational shooter off the bench for the Lakers, and it’s unlikely he’d cost more than the veteran’s minimum to sign. There’s no fantasy value to be found here unless a slew of injuries occurs no matter where he lands next.
  • GSW Shooting Guard #28
Jason Kapono made his Lakers debut in Monday’s exhibition game against the Clippers, hitting two threes on his way to nine points, two rebounds, and an assist in 18 minutes.
If Kapono plays more than 15 minutes per game we’ll be shocked, but he could be worth picking up at some point for owners trolling for threes. Regardless, owners shouldn’t burn a draft pick on that type of value.
  • GSW Shooting Guard #28
Jason Kapono will sit out again on Wednesday, following the birth of his twin girls.
Kapono’s absence shouldn’t impact any fantasy rosters.
