Of the names listed, Jones has arguably the best shot to make the final roster, especially given the fact that Channing Frye (heart) will miss the season.

The departure of Diogu and Jones bodes well for Luke Zeller and Diante Garrett to make the team. Diogu did have a good offseason and even played in the Olympics, but he’s probably going to have to continue his basketball career overseas.

There wasn’t much further detail on the nature of Gortat’s illness, but this at least makes him questionable for Friday’s game against the Mavs. Check back after shootaround Friday to see if he’s feeling better. If Gortat can’t go, look for Markieff Morris and possibly Luke Zeller to split his minutes.

Zeller hasn’t received a blurb since he was invited to training camp, illustrating just how relevant he is in fantasy circles.

The Suns recently waived Luke Zeller, but they may also waive Haddadi after giving him an audition for a few games. We’re not biting on him as a fantasy option, even if he fights his way into Lindsey Hunter’s rotation.
