Richardson spent three years in the NBA, playing for the Kings and Raptors. He played in 70 games and made no fantasy impact.

The Sixers picked up a second-round pick from Toronto to take on Richardson, but he didn’t even last one day before getting waived to make room for James Ennis.

Accompanying Richardson in the move to Philly will be Toronto’s 2022 second-round draft pick and the draft rights to Emir Preldzic. This was just a salary-shedding move by the Raptors, and it’s unlikely that Richardson will have a substantial role with the 76ers.

He’d been out with a toe injury, but isn’t in the rotation, even when the Raptors are blowing teams out of the gym.

Richardson did not play Wednesday but is not a regular part of the Raptors rotation even when he’s fully healthy.

He won’t be in the rotation when the Raptors are remotely healthy.

OG has missed three straight games, but is on track to return to the lineup Friday night. C.J. Miles (adductor) will also play on Friday, which means the Raptors will have solid depth on the wing for the first time in two weeks. Malachi Richardson will likely be bumped out of the rotation.

Anunoby has spent the past three games on the sidelines, but it looks like he’ll be getting back to the floor tomorrow night, as will Miles. With those two back, Pascal Siakam’s minutes will see a minor dip and Malachi Richardson could drop out of the rotation entirely.

The Raptors have kept Kawhi out of back-to-backs this season, so this was expected. Especially after he logged 43 minutes on Friday night, while scoring 31 points with 15 rebounds, four assists and three steals. Both OG Anunoby (right wrist) and C.J. Miles (right adductor) are questionable for Saturday’s game, so the Raptors may be thin at small forward. Malachi Richardson will likely re-enter the rotation.

The Raptors are shorthanded right now with C.J. Miles out indefinitely and Danny Green suffering a back injury. Coach Nick Nurse may want to keep his second unit together and it’s not crazy to think Richardson may start, but Richardson won’t have value in almost any league regardless.
