On Wednesday, Isaiah Thomas published a piece thanking and praising Boston fans for his time in the city. He said he didn’t agree with the trade, he talked about being excited to play for the Cavaliers, but mostly it was a love letter to Boston.

The feeling is mutual with Celtics’ coach Brad Stevens.

Look at what he told CSN New England.

Even if this trade works out for the Celtics and Kyrie Irving helps bring banner 18 to the Garden, Celtics fans will still have a spot in their hearts for IT. Stevens certainly does.
