Houston Rockets center Clint Capela has a name that sounds like the word “acapella” and that’s good enough to get us where we’re going.
The team debuted an in-arena feature on Thursday against the Portland Trail Blazers featuring Capela singing the 1969 Jackson 5 hit “I Want You Back”.
It’s a typical video for these sorts of things, where Rockets teammates had to guess exactly what song it was Capela was singing. After taking a listen, James Harden had to give it to Capela straight.
“This is terrible, Clint.”
And yet, it’s somehow oddly satisfying. Maybe it’s so bad, it’s good? I’ll let you decide.
