Charles Barkley has his supporters, particularly when he goes after LeBron James.
There’s just not many among NBA players.
Draymond Green and LeBron are not best friends, to put it kindly, but when Green heard LeBron go after Barkley he loved it, something Green talked about on the podcast of San Jose Mercury News columnist Marcus Thompson II.
The no rings argument is silly. Barkley was a phenomenal NBA player — Hall of Fame, MVP, gold medalist, 11-time All-NBA — and to question his credentials because he couldn’t beat Michael Jordan and a loaded Bulls team is ridiculous. Barkley knows the game and has the right to comment. He’s entertaining, and that’s what it’s all about.
Even if his “Get off my lawn” stitch about how the game was better when he played gets old. Fast.
