It’s never a good idea to turn your back to a ball handler, an inbounder, or big cats of prey. Minnesota Timberwolves PG Ricky Rubio did one of those things on Friday night, and Phoenix Suns guard Eric Bledsoe made him pay.

Halfway through the third quarter in Phoenix, Bledsoe was inbounding a ball while standing to the right of his basket. Rubio, trying to guard against an out of bounds play, turned toward the court to react to the rest of the Suns.

That was his big mistake.

Bledsoe pulled off one of the oldest streetball tricks there is, easily bouncing the ball off Rubio’s back in order to start timed play.

He then scooped it up, went to the hoop, and scored.
