LeBron James’ first game back from a two-week, eight-game absence wasn’t without its memorable moments. In the second quarter, when James got called for a foul that he disagreed with, he began to argue with one of the referees. When his coach, David Blatt, tried to join the cause, James shoved him aside pretty forcefully.
James was evidently trying to keep Blatt from picking up a technical foul. Usually, it works the other way around. Coaches will try to pick up a tech to keep their players from getting in trouble.
Remember when James bumped into Erik Spoelstra during his first season in Miami?
If there’s one thing this won’t do, it’s lessen the level of scrutiny around this team.
