Shaquille O’Neal is one of the most popular entertainers in NBA history. On and off the court, he understands how to draw enormous attention.

So – whatever you think of LaVar Ball, loudmouth father of Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball – it’s telling that Shaq would hitch his star to LaVar’s wagon.

Shaq unveiled a song – I wouldn’t call it a diss track, given the ending – about LaVar to TMZ:

Best lyric:

You beat me? That’s a bunch of bologna

You think you’re Mailman, you ain’t even Jeff Maloney

Is Shaq mixing up Jeff Malone and Matt Maloney?Worst lyric:

Listen here, they call me Steph Harden

I make the same salary as Steph and James Harden

Is Shaq’s implicit message that you can get away with rapping poorly if you’re so paid?
