Othyus Jeffers (torn ACL) is about one month away from returning.
Jeffers, a restricted free agent, will be looking to prove to an interested club that his knee is no longer an issue. He’ll have to work quickly in order to secure a roster spot before the season tips off.

The Wizards are expected to renounce their qualifying offer for Othyus Jeffers, who tore his ACL in July.
Washington seems to like Jeffers but renouncing his rights would clear his salary from their books. He’s not expected to return to basketball activities for another month.

The Suns waived G/F Othyus Jeffers on Monday.
Jeffers is an energy guy and has been appreciated in past stops, but a torn ACL derailed his career and it’s unclear if he’ll bounce back.

Othyus Jeffers has spent much of the offseason rehabbing from a torn ACL he suffered during a July workout.
Jeffers is using the extra time off from the lockout to recover from the injury. He is a restricted free agent and will look to earn a reserve role on a team’s bench moving forward.

The Wolves have invited SG Othyus Jeffers to training camp.
He was waived by the Suns back in 2012 and hasn’t done much since. But the Wolves are looking for help on the wing and Jeffers could actually make the team if they choose to waive Chris Johnson, who was signed by David Kahn for $916,000.

Point guard A.J. Price has been invited to Timberwolves training camp.
The Wolves have 14 players under contract, but could waive Chris Johnson, who was signed by David Kahn for just $916,000, which would clear up two available spots. Price could easily win one of them, but will compete with Lorenzo Brown. And if Johnson is waived, SG Othyus Jeffers could be signed as a defensive specialist.

Othyus Jeffers is starting against the Bulls on Wednesday.
He’s the first player named Othyus to start an NBA game and coach Gregg Popovich continues to toy with the hearts and minds of fantasy owners. Jeffers can be left on the wire in almost all leagues.
  • SAS Center #21
Tim Duncan had 17 points, 12 rebounds, a steal and a block in Wednesday’s loss to the Bulls, giving the injured Spurs their fourth loss in five games.
Tony Parker added 20 points and six assists, but rest of Gregg Popovich’s starting five was a bad joke. Jeff Ayres failed to score in 16 minutes, Nando de Colo had eight points in 18 minutes, and Othyus Jeffers failed to score in 15 minutes. Gregg Popovich does everything he can to keep his guys healthy, but times are tough with Kawhi Leonard, Manu Ginobili, Danny Green and Tiago Splitter all down and out right now. Obviously, Duncan and Parker are must-starts as long as you know they’re going to be in the lineup.

Spurs will sign SG Othyus Jeffers to a 10-day contract.
With Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green both out with hand injuries, the Spurs are scraping for depth on the wing. Jeffers hasn’t appeared in the NBA since tearing his ACL during the 2010-11 season.

Othyus Jeffers was released by the Spurs on Saturday.
He started at SG on Wednesday with both Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green unavailable due to hand injuries, but the Spurs have found a better fill-in by signing Shannon Brown. Jeffers was never a fantasy option.
