Frahm will take Brent Barry’s spot on the roster.

“We are comfortable with Richie Frahm,” GM John Nash said. “He might be as good as what is out there. We had discussions with other free agents after Trenton Hassell, but after we looked at Richie and what he did in summer league, he may be as viable as any of them. He brings the three-point shooting and the size that we lack at that position. I don’t anticipate signing another guard at this point.”

Guard Geno Carlisle is being brought in to replace Frahm on the roster.

Frahm will help back up Derek Anderson.

He probably won’t have fantasy value this year.

The minutes are nice, but he’s going to be very inconsistent. You should only target him for a pickup if you are very desperate for threes.

He only has value if your desperate for threes, and he won’t shoot them this well all year. But the Wolves love having him on the bench for a spark when they need it.

He was released by the Suns in the preseason and we’re guessing you’d need to be in a 30-team league to think about picking him up.

All indications were that Al Thornton was going to get more minutes with the loss of Ruben Patterson, but played just 11 minutes tonight. We don’t know if the Clippers are going to continue to start Frahm, but it’s not likely. Thornton and Cuttino Mobley, who was out with the flu, are much better options at this point than Frahm. At least, they should be, as Frahm was recently signed after being dropped by the Suns in the preseason.

Richie Frahm started and scored 12 points, but Mobley is a much better fantasy option at this point.
