Justin Hamilton’s chances of making the Heat roster are declining due to a hamstring injury.
Hamilton is dealing with a hamstring strain that has kept him out of the first two summer league games for Miami. Considering the Heat already have 13 guaranteed contracts, Hamilton needs to make an impression if he wants to stick around. Jarvis Varnado and Robert Dozier, also members of the Heat summer league team, are both dealing with injuries as well.

Terrel Harris’ agent said that his client is “looking at all possibilities.”
Sportando had reported that Harris has been offered to a handful of European teams, but nothing is imminent and the unrestricted free agent continues to evaluate his options. Even if Harris gets an invite to Miami’s training camp, he’s not going to have a clear path to a spot on the team with Jarvis Varnado, Robert Dozier and Mickell Gladness all expected to be vying for the last two spots on Miami’s roster.
  • MIA Power Forward
Robert Dozier is expected to be invited to training camp.
This is confirmation of what we already knew. Dozier is expected to be the 19th player in camp and needs to do something earth-shattering to break camp with the team.
  • MIA Power Forward
    Heat waive PF Robert Dozier.
The writing has been on the wall for Dozier, who averaged 1.5 points and 3.3 rebounds in 10.8 minutes per game this preseason. He could return overseas (he’s played in Greece and France) or try his luck in the D-League.
  • MIA Power Forward
The Heat are expected to sign 2009 draft pick Robert Dozier once he returns from a family emergency.
Dozier’s signing would give the Heat 17 players under contract -- his deal will almost certainly be non-guaranteed, and he may not make the regular season roster. Other players on the bubble during training camp include Terrel Harris, Mickell Gladness and Jarvis Varnado.
  • POR Shooting Guard #24
Beat writer Ira Winderman believes Terrel Harris has a strong chance to make the final roster.
To be clear, Winderman was asked to rank which players would be primed to make the roster from a group including Harris, Mickell Gladness, Josh Harrellson, Jarvis Varnado and Robert Dozier. It’s not exactly startling news considering Harris was with the team last season, but it’s worth noting considering the Heat did not give Harris a qualifying contract offer during free agency. He’s got no fantasy value.
  • MIA Power Forward
Heat sign F Robert Dozier to a non-guaranteed contract.
Dozier, the team’s second-round pick in 2009, will be in for training camp but is not expected to make the final roster.
  • MIA Power Forward
The Heat took Memphis forward Robert Dozier with the final pick of the NBA Draft.
He’s a bit undersized but has long arms and is a solid rebounder. He won’t have fantasy value any time soon, but could make the Heat’s roster next season if he has a good summer.
  • MIA Power Forward
Heat forward Robert Dozier has agreed to a contract with the Greek team Colossus Rhodes.
Coach Erik Spoelstra said Dozier “has the skill set to play in this league” -- not exactly a glowing review, but his rights could come in handy as the Heat attempt to build their roster around Dwyane Wade next summer.
  • Point Guard #21
Heat guard Patrick Beverly has signed with a team in Greece.
He signed a one-year deal with Olympiakos, but could return to play for the Heat next season. Heat rookie forward Robert Dozier has also signed to play in Greece this year.
