Mann is headed to Cleveland after two-plus seasons in Charlotte, where he occupied a reserve role on most nights. Appearing in 53 games in 2025-26, the former first-round pick averaged 5.5 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 12.6 minutes. With Cleveland’s backcourt being headlined by Donovan Mitchell and James Harden, Mann is unlikely to be in a position where he can offer reliable fantasy value.

The Cavaliers also sent cash considerations to the Hornets as part of the deal. According to various reports, the Cavaliers had been trying to offload Schröder’s contract since the NBA Draft. In this trade, they’ll save around $6 million in cap space. The Hornets will upgrade their backcourt depth here in the wake of trading LaMelo Ball to the Timberwolves. Charlotte will be Schröder’s 12th team, bringing him one away from tying Ish Smith’s record for most teams played for. The 32-year-old point guard averaged 10.8 points and 4.9 assists in 70 games last season.

White was downgraded to questionable Tuesday afternoon and subsequently ruled out with left groin soreness. The 26-year-old has excelled in a bench role since coming over from the Bulls before the trade deadline. Tre Mann could see a slight boost in minutes and production with White sidelined.

Tuesday’s game is the first of two in as many days for the Hornets, who visit the Celtics on Wednesday. His absence frees up rotation minutes for fellow reserve Tre Mann, who is not worth the streaming risk.

It’s unclear if White will face a minutes restriction after such a lengthy layoff, but his return will likely mean fewer minutes for Tre Mann and Sion James.

White’s continued absence protects the minutes of Tre Mann and Sion James, neither of whom is worth the risk in most redraft leagues.

White hasn’t appeared in a game for Charlotte since being traded in early February, and fantasy managers will have to wait at least one more game for that debut. Tre Mann and Sion James will continue to handle backcourt responsibilities off the bench until White is back in action.

White has yet to make his Hornets’ debut, and that won’t change on Thursday. The Hornets will continue to rely on Sion James and Tre Mann to provide perimeter depth off the bench. Neither qualifies as a must-roster player in fantasy leagues.

While Sexton’s availability does affect the Hornets’ bench rotation, it will not have a significant impact on fantasy basketball. Tre Mann may pick up a few more minutes off the bench, but there’s no need to roster him in redraft leagues.

Mann will be back after missing one game due to an illness. However, he has only played a minimal role in recent weeks, so his return won’t alter the Hornets’ rotation dramatically.
