CHA Power Forward #8
The Pistons drafted Indiana forward D.J. White with the 29th pick in Thursday’s draft, then traded him to the SuperSonics for forward Walter Sharpe and center Trent Plaisted.

White was the Big 10 Player of the Year last season. He is a decent athlete but has a decent jumper and exceptional touch around the basket. The Pistons will get the Sonics 32nd (Sharpe) and 46th picks (Plaisted).

The Sonics drafted BYU center Trent Plaisted with the 46th pick in the draft and then sent him to Detroit as part of a trade.

Walter Sharpe is also heading to the Pistons, who sent D.J. White to Seattle in return.

His stock is still up in the air. He could go anywhere from middle-first to middle-second round. He’s been fairly incosistent throughout his career, but clearly would rather join the league as opposed to returning to school for his senior year.
