The standout safety responded with a long fumble return for a TD. He’s a starter in all IDP leagues despite his back troubles this season.

It might not be great fantasy news for the oft-injured Archuletta, with more pass coverage responsibilities.

The Raiders are looking at Archuleta as a possible outside linebacker, which is a bad sign for his career. He is only 5'11/220, although Archuleta’s inability to cover might be less of a problem at the new position.

Archuleta was the biggest name selected, with Chris Perry, LaBrandon Toefield, Brooks Bollinger, Jermaine Wiggins and Gary Stills also drafted. The most notable quarterbacks were exempt from the draft, and many players have already been assigned to teams based on relationships with coaches. The four head coaches are Jim Fassel (Las Vegas), Dennis Green (San Francisco), Jim Haslett (Orlando) and Ted Cotrell (New York).

Archuleta will try to make the roster as a special teamer and outside linebacker. Greg Wesley is a candidate to be cut to make room.

And so the NFL cycle is complete. After you’re cut by Oakland, it’s safe to start making workout videos full time.

Always a consistent IDP force, Archuletta is off to a quiet start - 22 tackles and no other stats through three weeks.

The Rams defense looks to be an average fantasy play at best this weekend.

He recorded five tackles in St. Louis’ nickel and dime sets.
