Browns completed their interview with Seahawks DC Aden Durde for their head-coaching vacancy.
The Seahawks’ defense allowed the fewest yards per pass play (6.03) and run play (3.7) in Durde’s second season serving as the team’s defensive coordinator. He served as the Cowboys’ defensive line coach (2021-2023) and Falcons’ linebackers coach (2020) in his two prior stops.

Browns beat writer Mary Kay Cabot reports the Browns have requested to interview Seahawks defensive coordinator Aden Durde for their head coaching vacancy.
Durde joined the Seahawks as defensive coordinator for Mike Macdonald in 2024. Seattle finished the 2025 regular season posting the best defensive DVOA in the league and has had two successful defensive seasons under Macdonald and Durde. Though Macdonald is the prevailing defensive mind in Seattle, Durde still gets some of the credit for the No. 1 seed Seahawks and will get a chance to interview for a head coaching spot with the Browns and call his own defense.
  • SEA Defensive Coordinator
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports the Seahawks are hiring Aden Durde as their defensive coordinator.
Durde is a former NFL Europe player who bounced around between various teams for five seasons. He most recently served as the Cowboys’ defensive line coach, working in that role for the last three seasons. The newly minted defensive coordinator has never served in this role before, and now gets a chance to help lead a Seahawks defense under head coach and fellow defensive guru Mike Macdonald.
