This comes just over 24 hours after it was reported that Jackson would play in Week 8 against the Bills. Speaking with the media on Monday, Minter played coy with his remarks about his QB1 while adding that the team will know more about his status when they take the practice field on Wednesday. Jackson was reportedly close to suiting up for Week 7 against the Browns, but we heard similar reports three weeks ago when the Ravens faced the Falcons. While Jackson missing another game would be a bit surprising at this point, it’s hard to be surprised by any games he misses at this stage in his career, as they often seem to linger longer than expected.
  • BAL Tight End #89
It was business as usual for Andrews, who can be consistently relied on for a solid 20-yard game. Andrews has gone for 28 or fewer yards in five straight games and will not be on the fantasy radar in Week 8 against the Bills.
  • BAL Wide Receiver #6
Lane had a relatively forgettable day through the air, but just missed finding the end zone on a short pass from Tyler Huntley in the second quarter. The rookie receiver ran 30 routes, which were second only to Zay Flowers, but he’s caught just seven passes for 65 scoreless yards in his two games since returning from injury. Lane’s involvement in the offense is encouraging, but there’s not enough here to warrant starting him in Week 8 against the Bills.
  • BAL Wide Receiver #4
Flowers’ biggest play of the day came on the Ravens’ opening drive. The star receiver turned a screen pass on third-and-nine upfield for a 48-yard touchdown to give the Ravens an early lead on what would be their only touchdown drive of the day. Despite another low-scoring day for the Ravens’ offense, Flowers continues to be one of the most profitable wide receivers in fantasy. He’s averaged over 10 targets per game in three starts by Tyler Huntley and has caught six or more passes in his last four games. With Lamar Jackson (ankle) expected back for Week 8’s game against the Bills, things are looking up for Flowers and the Ravens’ offense as a whole. The good news for Flowers’ managers, however, is that he’s a must-start regardless of who is under center.
  • BAL Running Back #22
Henry has rushed 34 times for 93 scoreless yards in his last two games, and has seen 10 of those carries go for zero yards or a loss. Injuries to the Ravens’ offensive line continue to plague the running game, and the loss of rookie RG Vega Ioane (knee) in the first quarter didn’t do anything to help the Ravens’ rushing woes. Henry has just one touchdown in the three starts by Tyler Huntley and has just six carries inside his opponents’ 10-yard line over that span. Baltimore’s sluggish offense under Huntley hasn’t boded well for Henry’s fantasy upside, but with Lamar Jackson (ankle) expected back for Week 8’s game against the Bills, Henry should be in line for more scoring opportunities. He will be a fringe RB1 next week.
  • BAL Quarterback #5
This makes it two straight games where Huntley and the Ravens failed to score in the second half. Huntley was solid in the first half, throwing for 227-1-0 on 21 passes, with his lone touchdown pass coming on a 48-yard screen pass to Zay Flowers on the Ravens’ opening drive. He would lead the Ravens on two drives that ended in field goals in the second quarter, but the Ravens struggled mightily in the second half as the Bengals rallied for 35 unanswered points. At one point, Huntley had the Ravens in position for a short field goal to go up 16-14, but passed on the points and opted to go for it on fourth-and-two, which resulted in an incomplete pass to tight end Josh Cuevas. It was reported during the game that Lamar Jackson (ankle) would be back for Week 8’s game against the Ravens. Now sitting at 4-3 on the year, it goes without saying that the Ravens are in desperate need of Jackson in what is shaping up to be a highly competitive AFC North division.
  • BAL Guard #71
Ioane exited late in the first quarter of Sunday’s game and was ruled out shortly after halftime. The rookie first-rounder appeared on 16 snaps and has started every game for the Ravens this season, splitting time between right guard and center. He was replaced by Emery Jones.
  • BAL Quarterback #8
Reporting from the sideline of Sunday’s Ravens vs. Bengals game, Wolfson reports that Ravens head coach Jesse Minter told her Jackson would play in Week 8. According to Wolfson, the late decision to sit Jackson this week came after the team had a chance to review footage of Jackson in practice. Minter said Jackson still didn’t look like himself in practice, which is why the team opted to give him one more week away. This is the first time Minter has committed to Jackson returning, so hopefully this is a good sign for his Week 8 availability. We will, of course, be monitoring his practice throughout the week until he is fully removed from the injury report.
  • BAL Quarterback #8
Washington was the only player carrying a questionable designation heading into Sunday’s game, but he has officially been ruled out with an ankle injury. Jackson, who is also dealing with an ankle injury, will miss his third-straight game, paving the way for Tyler Huntley to start in the pivotal AFC North matchup.
  • BAL Quarterback #8
Rapoport added that Jackson was really close to playing this week. With Tyler Huntley playing well enough to go 1-1 so far, the Ravens took a cautious approach and ruled him out for Week 7. Huntley will start versus the Bengals later today. If all goes well in practice next week, Jackson should be back and vying for the QB1 crown in a shootout with the Bills for Week 8.
