The Ravens have requested an interview with Browns WRs coach Chad O’Shea for their offensive coordinator vacancy.
Kevin Stefanski’s receivers coach and passing-game coordinator since 2020, O’Shea also has a long history with Bill Belichick. He has been an NFL assistant since 2003. He would be a conservative, experienced choice for a Ravens offense guaranteed to stay balanced under head coach John Harbaugh.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports the Jets interviewed Browns WRs coach/passing-game coordinator Chad O’Shea for their offensive coordinator vacancy.
O’Shea spent a decade with the Patriots as their wide receivers coach before following Brian Flores to Miami. He served as Miami’s offensive coordinator for a single season before being fired. O’Shea has now been with the Browns for three seasons. Amari Cooper and Jacoby Brissett both had surprisingly strong seasons in Cleveland this year, possibly earning O’Shea his second shot at an offensive coordinator gig.

ESPN’s Jordan Raanan reports Browns WRs coach Chad O’Shea is “in the mix” for the Giants’ offensive-coordinating vacancy.
With Bills QB coach Ken Dorsey promoted in-house to OC, the Giants have reportedly dwindled their finalists for play-calling duties down to Pep Hamilton, Mike Kafka and O’Shea, the latter who has ties to coach Brian Daboll stemming from their time together in New England. O’Shea previously worked as Miami’s offensive coordinator in 2019 but was fired after his unit finished the year ranked 25th in scoring.

    Dolphins fired OC Chad O’Shea.
The Dolphins finished 2019 ranked 25th in scoring offense, but their only consistent success was pretty much Ryan Fitzpatrick lofting up jump balls to the likes of DeVante Parker, Preston Williams and Mike Gesicki. O’Shea had previously spent 10 seasons as the WR coach in New England before joining Brian Flores in Miami. His lack of success in his first year as a coordinator could feasibly lead to another positional coaching job next. The Dolphins also parted ways with safeties coach Tony Oden as well as OL coach Dave Deguglielmo on Monday.

New Browns WRs coach Chad O’Shea will also serve as passing-game coordinator.
“Chad just spent a year calling it, so he understands the things that go along with play-calling and learned a ton of lessons he can help me with,” coach Kevin Stefanski said. The two worked alongside each in Minnesota from 2006-08. Stefanski, of course, is fresh off overseeing the Vikings’ run-obsessed offense, so it makes sense to give himself an extra hand in the passing game.

Browns hired former Dolphins OC Chad O’Shea as WRs coach.
A long-time receivers coach under Bill Belichick in New England, O’Shea lasted only one season as the Dolphins’ offensive coordinator. In Cleveland, O’Shea will be tasked with getting the most out of Odell Beckham and Jarvis Landry, who both topped 1,000 yards receiving in 2019.

Dolphins hired Patriots WRs coach Chad O’Shea as offensive coordinator.
46-year-old O’Shea coached New England’s wideouts the previous 10 years and has never called plays. He and new Miami coach Brian Flores have been position coaches together under Bill Belichick for a decade and will now be tasked with trying to overthrow the New England dynasty. O’Shea doesn’t have a whole lot to work with on paper, with Ryan Tannehill expected to be released at quarterback, but Kenyan Drake, Kenny Stills, Albert Wilson, and Mike Gesicki are some at least interesting parts on offense. This unit will need a lot of help.

According to Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun Sentinel, Patriots WRs coach Chad O’Shea is viewed as the front-runner for the Dolphins’ offensive coordinator position.
Soon-to-be-announced Dolphins coach Brian Flores is in the beginning stages of assembling his coaching staff and the hope is that O’Shea will follow him to Miami. The 46-year-old was also in the running for Detroit’s offensive coordinator position this offseason, though ultimately the Lions hired former Seahawks OC Darrell Bevell to replace Jim Bob Cooter. O’Shea has coached receivers in Foxboro since 2009.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Patriots WRs coach Chad O’Shea is “in play” to replace Josh McDaniels as offensive coordinator.
Josh McDaniels is taking assistant QBs coach Jerry Schuplinski with him to Indianapolis, leaving O’Shea as the top in-house option to take over playcalling. With the Patriots since 2009, O’Shea has been considered the frontrunner for the job. Brian Flores and Ohio State DC Greg Schiano are the leading candidates to replace Matt Patricia.
