Saints signed WR Chase Lyman, RB Jamaal Branch, DT Brandon Villarreal and LB E.J. Kuale to their practice squad.
Branch really impressed us in training camp. Keep an eye on him. Lyman is still recovering from a torn ACL suffered in 2005.
  • NO Wide Receiver
Saints signed fourth-round pick WR Chase Lyman.
Lyman tore his ACL during the off-season, so he wasn’t expected in training camp. The Saints will have to put him on the PUP list or injured reserve by week one.
  • NO Wide Receiver
Saints WR Chase Lyman isn’t writing this season off despite his second torn ACL in as many years.
The Saints will still sign the fourth-rounder to a standard contract. But we doubt New Orleans would want to rush him back and risk injury in 2005.
  • NO Wide Receiver
Saints drafted Cal wideout Chase Lyman with the 118th pick in the NFL Draft.
It’s quite a reach this early in the draft, but Lyman is an interesting pro prospect. A Drew Bennett-like combo of size and speed, he tore his ACL at the beginning of last season. New Orleans can afford to develop him slowly.
  • NO Wide Receiver
Saints fourth round draft pick WR Chase Lyman is expected to miss the 2004 season with a torn ACL.
Thought to be a major reach in the fourth round, Lyman only stayed healthy enough for eight starts in his college career. This continues a dramatic hit-or-miss trend in recent Saints drafts.
  • NO Wide Receiver
The Saints hope for fourth-round pick WR Chase Lyman to return by the end of the 2005 season.
He tore his ACL in practice last week. Look for Lyman to start the year on the physically-unable-to-perform list.
