Correll Buckhalter plans to return to the NFL “100%" after his second season-ending knee surgery in three years.
Buckhalter will enter the offseason as an unrestricted free agent. He’ll be an interesting risk for some team.
  • DEN Running Back
Eagles re-signed Correll Buckhalter to a two-year contract.
He will share carries with Brian Westbrook, ideally taking 100-125 inside carries, while racking up 500+ yards and 5-8 TDs. That makes him worth drafting, but with his injury history, not too high. Especially coming off another major knee surgery.
  • DEN Running Back
Correll Buckhalter left Eagles practice Friday with a knee injury.
Since he’s had season-ending knee surgeries in two of the last three years, this is a concern. Reno Mahe and Ryan Moats will get more snaps with the first-team offense now.

Correll Buckhalter’s has a bone bruise on his knee and should return to practice shortly.
Early reports out of Eagles camp are that Buckhalter does not look ''back to form.’' With Ryan Moats around, we doubt they will ask Buckhalter to carry too heavy a load this season. There are better RB4/5 candidates.

The Eagles will re-examine Correll Buckhalter’s knee to ''see if there is not something else in there.’'
The Eagles are worried, so we are too. Ryan Moats would benefit if Buckhalter could not get healthy, but the Eagles may look outside the organization for an inside runner.

Correll Buckhalter remains out of Eagles pracice with a knee injury.
It’s time to start dropping him down your draft board. Buckhalter hasn’t proved he can return from his latest ACL injury and will have questionable value even if he can. Ryan Moats should benefit with extra work.

Eagles RB Correll Buckhalter is still not ready for live hitting.
Buckhalter’s small window opened when Bruce Perry fumbled twice Sunday night. If he’s going to make the team, he needs to be able to go full boar. A healthy Buckhalter could be the short-yardage back the Eagles are looking for.
  • DEN Running Back
Eagles RB Correll Buckhalter is expected to play in the team’s third preseason game, Thursday vs. the Ravens.
It will be Buckhalter’s first full-contact action of the summer. Philadelphia may explore a trade for a veteran back if he’s ineffective.
  • DEN Running Back
Correll Buckhalter (knee) was unable to practice for a second straight day Tuesday.
It’s discouraging news for Buckhalter, who was just activated from the PUP list Monday. He did return to practice Wednesday, which is a good sign.
  • DEN Running Back
Eagles RB Correll Buckhalter participated in live contact for the first time in training camp Sunday.
He should play in the next preseason game. As jumbled as Philly’s backfield is, Buckhalter probably only needs to stay healthy to make the team. That hasn’t been easy for him in the past.
