Giants LB Darius Muasau (concussion) left New York’s Week 2 game against the Cowboys and will not return.
Muasau was taking over for Micah McFadden, who looks to be lost for most of the season. While the rookie is out, Chris Board has taken over at linebacker for the Giants. Muasau had only one tackle before leaving in the third quarter.

Giants selected UCLA LB Darius Muasau with the No. 183 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
After two All-Mountain West First Team seasons with the Rainbow Raiders, Muasau (6’0/225) transferred to UCLA where he would start in all 26 games he appeared in. The Hawaii native had 75 total tackles, 10.5 TFL’s, and 4 sacks in 2023. To further his resume, the MLB had 100+ tackles in each of his final two seasons on the island, cementing Muasau as a production machine. The fifth year senior is an instinctive prospect who boasts above average play recognition abilities and a willingness to take on blockers at the point of attack. He utilizes strapping upper body strength that he uses to attack blockers and clog running lanes. The Mililani HS product is a heady and physical zone defender who earned an encouraging 85.8 PFF grade in coverage. While being undersized and an average athlete, Muasau will impress coaches with his instincts and his added value as a zone coverage defender.
