Jets OLBs coach Mark Collins said second-year UDFA Deion Barnes is “probably the most improved young player at any position.”
Barnes was Freshman of the Year at Penn State back in 2012, but his play slipped when the program went downhill. He signed with the Jets as an UDFA last spring and spent all year on the practice squad. As the Jets completely rebuild at outside linebacker, Barnes appears to be in the mix for snaps.
