    Chargers waived CB DeJuan Tribble.
A sixth-round pick out of Boston College last April, Tribble didn’t make the Chargers as a rookie. He lacks good size (5'9/180) and special teams value.
  • LAC Defensive Back
Chargers agreed to terms with sixth-round CB DeJuan Tribble.
Tribble, whose 15 career interceptions rank third in Boston College’s history, will get a four-year deal. He was regarded as a premier cornerback before entering an injury-plagued, inconsistent senior season.
  • DET Linebacker
NFL spokesman Greg Aiello says Lions LB Jordon Dizon’s pre-draft DUI arrest will not be reviewed under the league’s personal conduct policy.
However, because Lions RT Gosder Cherilus and Chargers CB DeJuan Tribble’s cases weren’t settled until after they were drafted “it will trigger a review...Definitely,” Aiello confirmed. Cherilus and Tribble are obviously first-team offenders, so we still wouldn’t anticipate a suspension.
  • Lions first-round pick Gosder Cherilus will serve one year of probation and must pay a victim $52,000 for his role in a July 2007 bar brawl.
Matt Millen knew about this and still took him over Rashard Mendenhall. San Diego sixth-round CB DeJuan Tribble was with Cherilus and got the same punishment. Among the victim’s injuries was a broken neck, so it appears the two B.C. alums got off easy. Their playing status for 2008 isn’t in doubt.
  • LAC Defensive Back
    Chargers cut CB DeJuan Tribble.
The rookie sixth-rounder goes to make room for the newly signed defensive tackle Ian Scott.
  • DET Running Back
Chargers signed RB Eldra Buckley, OLB Eric Bakhtiari, WR Gary Banks, DE Andre Coleman, G Brandyn Dombrowski, CB Grant Mason, NT Ogemdi Nwagbou, and CB DeJuan Tribble to reserve/future contracts.
Buckley has spent the last two seasons on the practice squad. Tribble, a mid-round pick last April, might have the best shot here of hanging around. He is a good tackler and the Bolts will likely play a lot of zone next year.
