Louisiana redshirt senior LB Ferrod Gardner (shoulder) has been doing some contact work in practice but still isn’t fully cleared.
Gardner (6'2/220) underwent shoulder surgery earlier this year, and he continues to progress towards full clearance. Louisiana HC Billy Napier said on Tuesday that he anticipates having the redshirt senior linebacker fully cleared “soon.” Last season Gardner started 12 of the 13 games in which he appeared, tallying 46 tackles (31 solo, 1.0 for loss) with 0.5 quarterback sacks.
