Eagles signed RB Graig Cooper to a reserve/future contract.
Cooper likely would’ve been a middle-round draft pick in 2011 if not for a blown-out knee in 2009 that sapped away his explosiveness as a senior at Miami (FL) in 2010. The Eagles will see if he can rediscover the burst this offseason.
  • PHI Running Back #43
Eagles released RB Graig Cooper and WR Aaron Pflugrad.
Cooper was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Miami last offseason, but was a roster longshot after the team added Chris Polk and Bryce Brown. The 5'9 Pflugrad went undrafted out of Arizona State in April.
  • PHI Running Back #43
Eagles agreed to terms with former Miami RB Graig Cooper.
The talented Cooper tore his ACL in the 2009 Champs Sports Bowl and was never fully healthy for his senior year in 2010. While his college running backs coach Tommie Robinson is now in the same role with the Cardinals, Cooper clearly felt the Eagles gave him a better chance to compete for a roster spot. He’ll battle Eldra Buckley for time behind LeSean McCoy and Dion Lewis.
