Bears DT Ian Scott will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery on Monday.
The Bears are in pieces at this point with Cedric Benson’s shoulder, Thomas Jones’ hamstring, several knee surgeries within the past three days, and multiple other injured players. Scott is expected to miss two-to-three weeks of camp.
  • LAC Defensive Lineman
Ian Scott is penciled in as the Chargers starting nose tackle.
It’s a huge downgrade from Jamal Williams, who signed with the Broncos as a free agent. Scott is just 6'3/302 and was signed off the street last October. Fifth-round pick Cam Thomas could eventually push him, but the Chargers figure to struggle against the run again this year.
  • LAC Defensive Lineman
Eagles placed DT Ian Scott on injured reserve, ending his season.
The team expects to work out an injury settlement with Scott, who missed all of the preseason due to a hurt knee. Montae Reagor is healthy and LaJuan Ramsey is improved, so the Eagles should be fine minus Scott’s services.
  • LAC Defensive Lineman
    Eagles released DT Ian Scott.
Scott made $1 million while spending the season on I.R. after suffering a knee injury in training camp. A run stuffer who started for Chicago only two year ago, the 26-year-old Scott is likely to find a job this offseason.
  • LAC Defensive Lineman
    Chargers re-signed DT Ian Scott.
Scott is only 27, but a slew of leg injuries have slowed him down and he doesn’t fit San Diego’s 3-4 defense. Perhaps they’ll start using more 4-3, which coordinator Ron Rivera has been most familiar with in his career.
  • LAC Defensive Lineman
    Chargers released DT Ian Scott.
The Bolts are suddenly very thin behind aging nose tackle Jamal Williams, but Scott (6'3/302) wasn’t a great fit for the 3-4 defense anyways.
  • LAC Defensive Lineman
Panthers DT Ian Scott was hauled off the practice field this morning with what looked like a serious knee injury.
A serious injury would hurt the team’s depth at an already thin position.
  • LAC Defensive Lineman
An MRI on Panthers DT Ian Scott revealed just a sprained left medial collateral ligament.
The injury will likely keep him out a few weeks, but it’s still a relief considering the way he collapsed in practice. Scott could be ready for Week 1 if his recovery goes well.
  • LAC Defensive Lineman
    Panthers released DT Ian Scott.
Scott sprained his MCL early in training camp and couldn’t get healthy. Injury problems are nothing new for the run-stopping former Chicago Bear.
  • LAC Defensive Lineman
The Panthers hosted a visit for free agent DT Ian Scott on Monday.
Scott gives up about 85 lbs to Kris Jenkins, but is a run stopper. He’d likely be used in a rotation behind starters Damione Lewis and Ma’ake Kemoeatu.
