Indy drafted Freeland in the fourth round of the 2023 draft. He made nine starts as a rookie but only took the field for 23 offensive snaps in his second season. Freeland then missed the entirety of 2025 with a fracture in his right leg.

Grupe, who had a “90% make rate in camp” per Mike Garafolo, has a chance to come aboard late and win a different kicking job. Spencer Shrader will kick for the Colts this year.

Per Maske, the NFL’s substances of abuse policy outlines a three-game suspension for a “first offense of a violation of the law involving alcohol,” which would encompass the two DWI charges levied against Allen early Sunday morning. There is no telling when a potential suspension would be on the table for the veteran receiver, leaving fantasy managers in the dark as they contemplate additional variance associated with his profile. The additional details surrounding Allen’s specific arrest could lessen league discipline as well considering he was parked illegally and not in the act of driving, but the law is clear in that any person sitting in a vehicle with keys is considered with intent to operate while intoxicated. Adam Schefter reports the Colts will try to re-sign him to the practice squad. The 32-year-old caught two targets for one yard last year for the Cardinals.

It’s a surprising release after Wooden was acquired in a 1-for-1 player swap with the Packers in March, but he evidently did not fit the system as expected. A 16-game starter for the Pack last season, Wooden could be a potential Monday waiver claim. If not, he should quickly land on someone’s practice squad, perhaps Indy’s.

Stick struggled in four starts, all losses, with the Chargers in 2023 and hasn’t seen a regular season snap since. He was behind Riley Leonard and Anthony Richardson on the Colts’ depth chart before being released. The Colts released a statement noting that they were aware of the charges and are in the information gathering process. Allen was arrested in downtown Indianapolis after the Colts’ final preseason game around 1AM ET. More updates to come, we’re sure, but obviously this is not a great look for Allen.

Pierce said the Colts have been doing a good job of preparing him to play even while sidelined, and with 16 days to go before the Colts host the Ravens in Week 1, it’s not inconceivable that he could be ready in time for the season opener. The Colts will continue to ramp Pierce up in the coming weeks, making his status one to monitor, especially when teams begin releasing official injury reports ahead of game day. If he is able to play, fantasy managers should view Pierce as anything more than a boom/bust WR3 until we see how he looks on the field.

Blackmon, 27, broke up two passes and intercepted two more last season, while also totaling 59 tackles, one quarterback pressure and one sack last season. He adds depth to the Browns’ secondary and could start, if need be.
