Saints signed TE J.P. Holtz, formerly of the Bears.
Holtz, 28, appeared in 29-of-33 games for the Bears over the last two seasons, but close to 400 of his snaps were played on special teams. He saw just 158 snaps on offense in that time, failing to catch his only target. Holtz will compete for a spot at the end of the Saints’ roster.
